Tennis, Darderi padrone della terra rossa a Santiago. Doppietta storica per l'Italia
Luciano Darderi vince a Santiago il suo quinto titolo Atp sulla terra battuta: superato Alcaraz per trofei vinti sul rosso dal 2024
Luciano Darderi si conferma un vero specialista del rosso e mette la firma sul suo quinto titolo in carriera trionfando a Santiago del Cile (Atp 250). In una finale combattuta contro il tedesco Yannick Hanfmann, chiusa con il punteggio di 7-6 7-5, l'azzurro numero 21 al mondo ha dimostrato ancora una volta di avere una marcia in più quando si tratta di lottare sulla terra battuta.
Grazie a questo successo, Darderi diventa ufficialmente il giocatore con più trofei Atp vinti sulla terra rossa dall’inizio del 2024, superando persino Carlos Alcaraz. Ma i record non finiscono qui, perché con 48 vittorie totali dall'anno scorso è secondo solo a Cerundolo per match vinti nel circuito.
Questo trionfo arriva a meno di ventiquattr'ore dalla vittoria di Flavio Cobolli ad Acapulco, segnando la quinta volta nell'era Open in cui due tennisti italiani riescono a sollevare un trofeo Atp nella stessa settimana, a testimonianza di un momento d'oro senza precedenti per il nostro tennis.
