Partenza posticipata per il GP di F1 del Bahrain, che si corre in Malesia per via della situazione geopolitica nel Medio Oriente. La pioggia intensa che si è abbattuta su Sepang ha allagato la pista inducendo la direzione gara a ritardare il via, inizialmente in programma alle ore 9 italiane. Non è poi bastato il primo tentativo di partenza, visto che numerose monoposto, tra cui la Ferrari di Hamilton, hanno manifestato problemi tecnici proprio a causa della pioggia.
